Officials at Alcorn State University today announced plans to build a new scoreboard for Spinks-Casem Stadium, which will be the largest featured at any historically black college or university campus.
In a release, officials detailed specs for the new scoreboard, which will be unveiled this fall to kick off the defending Southwestern Athletic Conference champions’ 2016 home football schedule.
Estimated to measure 65 feet by 25 feet, the new Braves Board will feature multiple panels for varying angles in live shots, replays and sponsorship placements throughout the game.
“We are excited to announce this new addition to the Braves football experience and extremely grateful to the Alcorn State University Foundation for its historic investment because it is going to significantly impact the entire Alcorn family from our students to our fans to our valued student athletes,” Alcorn State President Alfred Rankins said.
