Langston University PD helped in FBI operation that recovered 33 missing children
An Oklahoma law enforcement agency helped in an operation that led to the recovery of more than two dozen missing children this month.
FBI officials said the Langston University Police Department participated in Operation Lost Angels, an initiative that began on Jan. 11 and resulted in 33 missing children being recovered. (KOCO)
SACSCOC president tells South Carolina State trustees that most important standard is integrity
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges President Belle Wheelan gave a recap of her agency’s mission and offered tips for college boards as she addressed South Carolina State University’s trustees on Wednesday.
SACSCOC sets standards and accredits educational institutions in the Southeast and beyond.
Wheelan said the most important standard is integrity – if an institution lies or misleads, it can jeopardize their accreditation. (Times & Democrat)
Florida Memorial, MU, Miami Dolphins, Lennar team up to train participants in construction business
Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens, the Dolphins Social Impact Committee, and the Lennar Foundation teamed up to offer a free, 12-week program to train participants in the construction business.
Dolphins’ senior vice president Nat Moore said, “It creates jobs. Once you have learned a skill, you have a chance to not only to have a job and a career, but you can make a good honest living with a chance to grow.” (CBS 4 Miami)
