A former Shaw University president will oversee enrollment and student affairs at the Bears’ crosstown rival.
Gaddis Faulcon was today named as vice-president of enrollment management and student affairs at Saint Augustine’s University, and will immediately replace former vice-president Ronald Brown, who will retire at the end of the month.
Dr. Faulcon, a Saint Augustine’s alumnus who previously served as student affairs VP, was lauded by SAU President Everett Ward for his more than 30 years of experience in higher education, and multiple leadership stops at several historically black colleges.
“Dr. Faulcon’s extensive higher education experience and exceptional leadership qualities are valued assets to our Saint Augustine’s University leadership team,” said President Everett B. Ward. “As a student centered and result oriented administrator, Dr. Faulcon appointment supports the philosophy of this administration.”
Prior to his interim appointment at Shaw, Dr. Faulcon served as dean of the school’s graduate studies program, and chair of the Shaw Department of Allied Health.
