Joseph L. Wright, M.D., MPH, chairman of the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health, Howard University College of Medicine, was recently elected to the American Pediatric Society (APS).
Society membership is reserved for individuals who have distinguished themselves as child health leaders, teachers, scholars, policymakers and clinicians and whose important contributions are recognized nationally or internationally.
“Election to the American Pediatric Society is a special honor and represents important peer recognition not only for my scholarly work but also my commitment to children,” Dr. Wright said. “Membership provides a platform for me to further Howard’s commitment to outstanding patient care and service to the community.”
