The plans were revealed yesterday during a ‘State of the University’ address delivered by Howard President Wayne A.I. Frederick, and will total more than $450 million in support of the university and the area healthcare expansion initiative.
Originally approved by the D.C. City Council in fall 2020 and scheduled for completion by 2026, investments for the 660-bed hospital will include public funding for land acquisition and community healthcare programming development.
