“The rumors started when First Deputy Chancellor Donald Conyers emailed superintendents to remind them to have a remote learning “contingency plan in place in the event of whole classroom/school closures,” according to a copy of the message obtained by The Daily News.
But Conyers dismissed that idea Thursday in an email to principals, writing “there is no plan for a systemwide school closure and pivot to remote learning,” in a note obtained by The News.”
