The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced the 2015-16 basketball television schedule today with an exciting selection of men’s and women’s competitive matchups on multiple ESPN platforms.
As part of its agreement with ESPN, the MEAC will highlight four men’s regular season games and one women’s game.
The 2016 MEAC Men’s Basketball Tournament will also broadcast on ESPN2 with the men’s championship game airing live on Saturday, March 12 at 1 p.m. The 2016 MEAC Women’s Basketball tournament will broadcast live Saturday, March 12 on ESPN3. The game is slated for a taped-delayed broadcast on Sunday, March 13 at 11 a.m. and will telecast on ESPNU.

It appears that the MEAC administrators are definitely behind the curve with their basketball announcement. This announcement should have been made at the start of basketball season. MEAC administrators, I would also suggest that your MEACSports website be update for each school along with each sports with the appropriate statistics. More important, the MEAC administrators should inform decision makers from ESPN2 to deploy their best equipment because of the overall visual, clarity, and audio is not of the highest caliber.
In fact, it’s akin to what one would see at a high school football game shown on ESPN2. It appears that some sort of equipment hierarchy exists as it pertains to Division I schools and the MEAC and SWAC. Let’s see if ESPN2 will rise to the challenge.
