Officials from North Carolina A&T State University and Elon College last week announced a new partnership that will offer a dual bachelor’s and juris doctorate program to qualifying A&T students.
The ‘Accelerated Pathway to Law School’ will allow A&T students to complete a Liberal Studies degree in three years, and will guarantee admission into Elon’s two-and-a-half-year law program.
“We are delighted to build upon the relationship with Elon University School of Law to provide expanded opportunities for North Carolina A&T graduates,” said North Carolina A&T Provost Joe B. Whitehead Jr.
Elon enrolled 58 African American graduate students during the 2014-15 academic year, when the two schools finalized the articulation agreement. Annual admission for A&T graduates into the Elon law program will be capped at nine students.
Great program not sure why there is a capped at 9 students, but tremendous opportunity for NC A&T Students what’s up with that “Aggie Pride”
