House Representative Briscoe Cain was scheduled to discuss state politics at the invitation of the university’s School of Law, but students who claimed Cain to be anti-LGBT and a supporter of the alt-right movement, shouted down the public official.
TSU President Austin Lane said the event was not formally approved, while supporters of Cain said the students were misinformed about his political ideology.
