Andrew Hugine Set For Contract Extension at Alabama A&M

The board of trustees at Alabama A&M University will begin negotiations with President Andrew Hugine on a contract extension despite issues in recent months that include the indictment of the school’s chief operating officer.

During a meeting Friday in Birmingham, the board voted to extend Hugine’s contract, which is set to expire in 2017. Six board members voted in favor of the extension, two opposed and one abstained.
