Hampton Alum, Cleveland Browns GM Sashi Brown Applauds NFL-HBCU Partnership

Hampton University graduate and Cleveland Browns General Manager Sashi Brown says the NFL’s recently announced professional development partnership with the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and the Southwestern Athletic Conference is an ideal way to build diversity in the nation’s most popular sports corporation. From the Daily Press:
“Unfortunately, we as a league aren’t where we’d like to be in terms of diversity, whether that’s racial diversity or gender diversity. I’m proud to see the league take a proactive step to reach out and address that. I think that’s a tremendous talent pool they’ve identified and tapped into.”

  1. Wow why is the NFL trying to partner so much with HBCU’s very interesting. I like it but you got to wonder if they are trying to make up for something. Oh I get it since they don’t draft any HBCU players like they used to they now want to help preserve the legacy. Wow.
