Officials at Jackson State University say that graffiti found on a campus Greek plot lat week is not believed to be racially motivated.
The Jackson Clarion-Ledger reports that the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Delta Delta chapter’s plot was covered in graphic sexual images and racial slurs last week, but as police and university officials continue their investigation, no information suggests the pattern of anti-black behavior on campus, or racial hostility towards members of the chapter.
Olivia Goodheart, director of public relations, said campus police are investigating the incident which is believed to have occurred sometime between late Monday evening and early Tuesday morning.
She cautioned that the act is not believed to be “racially motivated.”
“We don’t want the community in fear,” or “to create any type of false impression,” said Goodheart.
WatchTheYard.com reports that JSU has repaired the damaged plot.
Sad probably some Greek haters
Not racially motivated? “Coon” is not something I believe a Black person would call another Black person unless the current generation of students are massively ignorant. This incident should be investigated as a hate crime, whoever the culprit may be.
