Morehouse SGA President: "Morehouse is in a State of Confusion"

Morehouse College Student Government Association President Johnathan Hill has issued a letter to the campus community, calling for increased unity among the school’s stakeholders and supporters.
The letter, published by the Morehouse Maroon Tiger Newspaper, outlines growing concerns about acrimony among the school’s chairman of the Board of Trustees, Robert Davidson Jr., and the controversy surrounding the pending departure of school president John Silvanus Wilson.
Hill also cites a recent meeting with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges President Belle Wheelan, who allegedly told a committee of Morehouse constituents that the increasing media coverage could spur a review from the accrediting body in the near future.
From the letter:

Because of student and faculty activism thus far, student and faculty trustees will participate fully in the coming board meeting, even in executive sessions as outlined in the final schedule forwarded to all trustees on this past Friday. Furthermore, in response to a formal faculty trustee request, the board is providing time on the schedule for us to discuss the current status of the Board and its relationship to Faculty and Student interests and persons.”

Dr. Wilson was notified of the board’s intention to not renew his contract in January, and earlier this month was the center of controversy when Davidson published a letter announcing the transition of power from Dr. Wilson to Morehouse COO William Taggart, a directive that he clarified days later as a part of Dr. Wilson’s departure in June.
Morehouse faculty members voted ‘no confidence’ in Davidson last week.
