Twin Alabama State Grads Serving as District Court Judges

Both of the Birmingham natives graduated from Alabama State University. Both graduated from law school at Louisiana State University. While Grant went to Atlanta after law school and Owens came back to Birmingham, both ended up with jobs as prosecutors.

North Carolina A&T Joins Coalition in Support of Connect NC Bond Plan

North Carolina A&T State University Chancellor Harold Martin will join higher education leaders from Guilford County today to sign a resolution of support for the Connect NC Bond plan, a proposal that seeks to deliver more than $2 billion to improve infrastructure at the state’s public colleges, parks, and agencies. 

Howard Divinity Delegation Travels to Ethiopia For Return of Sacred Biblical Manuscript

Representatives from the Howard University School of Divinity (HUSD) have traveled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to return a sacred, 14th-15th century manuscript to Debre Libanos Monastery, one of Ethiopia’s holiest sites.
